The Abruzzo Friends Association is a registered non profit collective based in Penne (PE) aiming to encompass the region of Abruzzo and beyond. The goal of this online and hands on community is to promote our region offering information and guidance where possible in a light hearted manner. We should all never take life too seriously as none of us get out alive anyway! The association meets on a monthly basis to update, discuss, support and co-ordinate fund raising activities for the local community and region. There are opportunities for local and national business to advertise on the website with funds raised used to strengthen the association and donations made to local charities and hospitals. We aim to stage events for English and Italian families to integrate with each other and alongside local business to bring everybody together. Tourism will be encouraged in the region which can only benefit everybody involved. We aim to provide an informative portal for the community and all work together. We will endeavour to work with the local community as much as we can as the road to success for the association is always under construction! We are always open to new thoughts and ideas and welcome them from all members. We would like a positive response from all members and welcome volunteers to help stage events throughout the year because the more we share, the more we have! Joke of the month:
Una bambina entra in un negozio di giocattoli e chiede al commesso il prezzo della bambola Barbie vestita da maestra. «20.000 lire», risponde il commesso.
«E la Barbie vestita da dottore?»
«Anche quella 20.000 lire», dice il commesso.
La bambina chiede poi i prezzi di altre versioni della stessa bambola e il prezzo è sempre lo stesso. Poi la bambina vede una bambola che attrae veramente la sua attenzione. «Signore», dice «quanto costa la Barbie che fa la donna divorziata?».
«200.000 lire», risponde il commesso.
«Perché è così cara?»
«Perché la Barbie divorziata comprende la casa di Ken, l'automobile di Ken e anche il suo computer.»
