Penne

Near the town is the regional natural reserve "Lake of Penne", established under the Laws No And No. 26 of 1987 97, 1989, extends for 150 hectares, with a range of external protection of over 1000 hectares. The town of Penne is full of festivities, which also involve the common surroundings. One of the major parties is dedicated to St. Maximus, Patron of the city, which is celebrated on May 7 each year, usually involving two or three days. Next is the festival dedicated to St. Anthony of PaduaCelebrated on June 13 each year, again involving two or three days. Then follows a rich summer holiday times, especially in the month of August: The Pecora Nait, which celebrate the best of gastronomic specialties pens around, focusing primarily on "skewers," or pieces of meat sheep strung on a stick (hence the name of party) and the Palio Medieval, Which is recalled this period of history, the Notte Bianca.
